Here ye , Here ye….

Here ye , Here ye….A warning message from King Arthur.
King Arthur has seen many a campfire in his day, as well as a few unexpected ones sparked from candles. He doesn't want to see this happen to you, therefore he has taken the time to send us some tips that all candle burners should utilize.

Caution: failure to follow instructions could result in smoke, fire, property damage, personal injury and even death!

Never leave a burning candle unattended.

Keep candles out of the reach of children and pets.

Place candle on a protected heat resistant surface. Keep a burning candle away from drafts.

Keep wick trimmed to ¼ ". This will keep your candle in good condition and keep your air free of black smoke and keep soot from staining the walls and furniture and other surfaces. For a clean burn, maintain ½" flame at all times while burning.

Allow candle to cool before trimming the wick or relighting.

Candle should be keep free of wick trimmings, matches and any other matter. These items can cause a fire if left in your candle.

Burn candles 1 hour for each diameter of the candle. A 3" diameter candle should burn for 3 hours at a time. Burning less than this will cause the candle to burn down the middle and shorten the burn time. This also allows the flame to melt the wax to the outer edges of the jar allowing for more fragrance throw

When extinguishing the flame, use a candlesnuffer or blow gently to prevent wax from damaging furniture.

Use scissors or wick clippers to trim wicks. Use toenail clippers for those hard to reach wicks.

Allow candle to cool before replacing lid. Replacing the lid will help the candle maintain a full fragrance.

When the candle wax reaches ¼" from the bottom of the jar, stop burning and discard candle wax.

For the safety of all, lets take King Arthur's advice and we will be sure to have a pleasant candle burning experience.

"Let's burn candles and campfires safely."
